Mavs Hang On to Victory Despite Blowing Big Lead
DALLAS, Texas (AP) - Luka Doncic erupted for 44 points as the Dallas Mavericks handed the Los Angeles Clippers a 144-126 defeat on Friday night.
The Mavericks' high-octane offense, featuring 47 combined All-Star nods, proved too much for the Clippers, who were led by 30 points from Paul George.
Dallas blew a big lead in the second half, but they managed to hang on for the victory. The Clippers' chances were hampered by the questionable status of Kawhi Leonard, who is dealing with knee inflammation.
The Mavericks improved to 31-29 with the win, while the Clippers fell to 33-28.
