Power Outage Affects Over 1,000 New Hanover County Customers
New Hanover County, NC - October 5, 2023
Over 1,000 customers in New Hanover County are without power due to a downed power line.
The outage was reported around 10:30 a.m. and is affecting customers in the Wilmington, Leland, and Hampstead areas.
Crews are on the scene and are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, customers are asked to conserve energy and avoid using high-energy appliances.

- 11:30 a.m.: The number of customers without power has increased to 1,500.
- 12:30 p.m.: Crews have restored power to 500 customers.
- 1:30 p.m.: Power has been restored to all customers.
